Description

Show your pride for The Three Lions in retro style with the Score Draw England 1970 Mexico No6 Blackout Shirt in Black.

This shirt takes the England 1970 World Cup kit and switches things up with a unique blackout design. The number six on the back pays tribute to England legend and former captain Bobby Moore, perfect for any old-school England or West Ham supporter. This kit was worn by England's most iconic generation of players for the 1970 Mexico World Cup, as they attempted to defend their title as world champions. Bobby Moore led a team including Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Alan Ball and a number of other household names, all under England's most successful coach Sir Alf Ramsey. A difficult draw saw them facing Brazil and Czechoslovakia in the group stage, but a win over the latter in the final group game saw them qualify for the knockouts. Unfortunately, their next test would be against an equally feared West Germany side. The Three Lions fought valiantly, taking an impressive 2-0 lead, but Franz Beckenbauer and Uwe Seeler levelled the score to take the tie to extra time, and a heart-breaking Gerd Muller goal in the 108th minute sealed West Germany's progression to the quarter-finals.
